Aaron passed his driving test on his third attempt, with 8 driving faults. Aaron needed 82 hours to reach the test standard and pass his test. The journey would certainly have been shorter if he had chosen to learn in an automatic car, but Aaron was determined to stick with a manual. That determination paid off. Although the road to success was bumpy at times, Aaron steadily improved and became fluent in both car control and handling real-life road situations. During his first test, nerves got the better of him, and he panicked to the point that he barely remembered what had happened. It’s worth saying that Aaron felt confident beforehand and genuinely believed he would stay calm. Instructor Tymek said that in his experience, many students panic during the test — sometimes very severely — even when they are well prepared. There is nothing on a driving test that they hadn't practised beforehand, not just for the test itself but for safe driving in all conditions. Well done, Aaron! ...

Kimberly passed her driving test on her fourth attempt, with a very respectable 4 driving faults! She had no driving experience before starting lessons with instructor Tymek . It took 126 hours to reach test standard, and there were good reasons. Kimberly is autistic and also lives with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Autism sometimes caused her to react differently on the road, which could initially be unsafe. Through patience, structured lessons, and consistent practice, they worked through these challenges, and Kimberly is now a safe and competent driver. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome added another difficulty — she could usually drive well for around 90 minutes, after which fatigue caused mistakes she wouldn’t normally make. Lessons were adapted carefully to manage this. Kimberly proves that with patience, persistence, and the right support, anyone can become a confident and safe driver. Katie passed her driving test with just 3 driving faults! ✅🚗 Katie started her journey as a complete beginner. Like many of instructor Tymek's students, she experienced quite acute anxiety, which meant her learning process took longer — a total of 96 hours. After the initial 36 hours in a manual car, Tymek made the decision to switch to an automatic so Katie could relax behind the wheel and truly understand how calm and enjoyable driving can be. After 15 hours in his Kia e-Niro automatic, once her confidence had grown, they switched back to a manual car to complete her driving education. From the early lessons, it was clear that Katie had a real talent for controlling a manual car. However, her anxiety held her back in more challenging environments, such as Gloucester, Cheltenham, and other busy areas. Zehra from Coleford passed her driving test on the first attempt with just two driving faults! She needed 75 hours of lessons and almost 9 months from scratch to drive properly and pass her test. On average, people are ready to drive independently as beginners after 50-70 hours on an automatic car with me ( instructor Tykmek ). Initially, we struggled to communicate since Zehra spoke very limited English. Thanks to modern technology, we could get by using the AI translator. After some time, her English improved massively, thanks to community English classes. I would like to think modestly I contributed to her English as well! From the very beginning, it was apparent Zehra had a knack for driving. In the end, just before her test, we went to Bristol to see if she was fully independent as a driver so she could take her family to Ikea for Swedish meatballs😊. Jack from Drybrook passed his driving test on his first attempt with just two minor faults! He needed only 28 hours of lessons to learn to drive properly and pass his test. Jack had already been driving with his parents for some time before coming to instructor Tymek . Credit to him, his mum, and his dad—they all did a great job, but they could only take him so far without Tymek's help. Tymek said "his role was to focus on the finer details and ensure he understood why we do certain things as drivers. On a separate note, his review doesn't reflect what happened during their lessons. Liam from Lydney passed his driving test on the first attempt with NO faults! He needed just 43 hours to complete the job. He had some experience with learning to drive before but failed his test then (a long time ago). Most of the things he picked up very quickly. His commitment and perseverance have been superb. Isabelle from May Hill passed her driving test on the first attempt. She needed 81 hours to overcome her nerves and pass with just a few driving faults. For the last 20 hours or so, instructor Tymek mainly trained on the manoeuvres. Isabelle is a natural-born driver and did many things instinctively very well, but passing the test requires additional skills that were initially difficult for her to grasp. Lily from Parkend passed her driving test on the third attempt with just 2 driving faults. After 53 hours of dedicated training with instructor Tymek , she finally overcame her initial nerves and passed with flying colours. Tyke said that it always puzzles him how some of his students can initially fail their test, only to eventually pass with just 2-3 driving faults. They go to the test fully prepared to drive independently, but nerves get the better of them until they realize that it is not such a big deal after all. Tyke never brings his students unprepared. Congratulations to Holly from Ruardean on passing her driving test! It’s impressive that she succeeded on her first attempt with just 24 hours of training and only 2 driving faults. Adapting from Dubai’s straight, wide roads to the British roads, especially with roundabouts, can be quite a challenge. The trip to Bristol was a great way to ensure she can drive independently in any busy location. Safe driving for life, Holly and well done from instructor Tymek and everyone at KISS .  

Revathi from Ross-on-Wye passed her driving test on the third attempt with just 1 driving fault. After many hours of dedicated training, she overcame initial nerves and passed with flying colours. Revathi was very nervous on her 2 previous tests and that was the only reason she failed them. Finally, she understood this and, in the end, passing was only a formality. She is a very good driver. She wouldn’t have passed her test with just one mistake if she wasn’t the one. Great job Revathi and congratulations from instructor Tymek and everyone at KISS .  

Congratulations to Kim from Cinderford for passing her driving test on the first attempt! After many hours of dedicated training, she overcame initial nerves and sailed through with just 4 driving faults. Instructor Tymek was worried that Kim would panic during her test but she held your nerves and boy, she drove brilliantly. Great job Kim and see you on the road.  

Xander from Newent passed his driving test on the first attempt after 79 hours of training with just 4 driving faults! instructor Tymek learned so much from Xander, not just about teaching people to drive, but also about things he had no idea existed. Despite his young age, Xander is very knowledgeable and passionate about animals, so he educated Tymek a lot! He also studies animals at the University. Well done Xander and safe driving for life from all of the team at KISS !  

Abi from Drybrook passed her driving test on her first attempt after 16 h of training. She achieved this with just 3 driving faults! Abi came to instructor Tymek already driving well, because she drove a car with her husband regularly for years. Tyke corrected her use of mirrors and the general awareness and how to act on complex roundabouts and that was it! Congratulations from everyone at KISS .
